‘When do I get a job?’, ‘Will I get a job at all?’, ‘Should I be working in a BPO after my Engineering?’… Thanks to the recession, these questions are creating a havoc in the minds of all students. This havoc continued in the recent campus drive conducted by ‘Talent Curve’ consultancy in MLR College of Engineering on 18th and 19th of July. The main attraction of this placement drive was that, it was exclusively for students with IT background i.e. students from CSE, IT, MCA.

A new bakery just outside the gates of St. Martin’s Engineering College has given the students a perfect hangout place for bunking! The new unnamed bakery cum gym cum pool parlor, situated just next to the gate, opens as early as 6am in the morning for gymming purposes. It then opens its bakery at around 9am, just as the college starts its day. The bakery also has a room for snooker and pool but is not yet thrown open for customers. The bakery has all the baked items like: puffs, chips etc. and it also does have other snacks and drinks.

As guessed by everyone, the first day of St. Martins Engineering College posed a rather empty look. But, to the less surprise of everyone a larger part of the administration has been changed. The college management made major changes to the college, the ones, which can be called historic. St.Martin’s college was in a kind of handicapped stage, but it now poses larger possibilities of revival by the newer changes made.
