It Happens Here :>

In memory of Phani and Pavan

It may have been yet another accident for many in the city but it changed the life of every person associated with Narra Phani Girish, a 3rd year CSE student of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology  and A. Pavan Kumar, a 2nd year CSE student from the same college when both of them met with a fatal accident on their way to college from ECIL on 26th February, 2010. This ghastly incident took place at Rampally Cross Roads near Ghatkesar when the bike they were traveling on directly hit a DCM van coming in the opposite direction. It was Phani... Read→

Sree nidhi - nidhi quiz club 01

“Hey, I’ve started going to CAT coaching classes. What about you?”, “Well, I don’t know. I guess I’m into GRE. But wait, I need to give CAT a try. And my parents want me to settle out here for a job probably.” This is the current state of affairs in almost every campus. The confusion on what to do, when to do and how to do is keeping the grey cells of the students working and working and working hard to settle on a decision, that rarely lasts for a day or two. Same is the case in Sreenidhi Institute of Science... Read→

What Is Today!

Threitha Yuga, Dwapara Yuga, Kali Yuga are few names of the eras our epics sermonize. Ever thought of an appellation for this era, where information flows from one corner to other at it its highest pace, where it leaves no place without its trace and where it can make us omnipotent? Can this be an era of Information for ‘Information is power!’ and this power becomes a handy vice that turns us ambidextrous to tackle the kind of multitasking we take up day-to-day. Also, it is conspicuously biased and a must agreement to which everyone... Read→

ragging SNIST

‘Ragging’, as oxford lexicon avows is an act of teasing or playing tricks. The word has nearly the same meaning even in our colleges. Of course it has several other definitions, which will more or less bend to a common parlance. Seniors welcome their juniors through ragging. It is everywhere. “I was making a sine, tan! No I’m not making a graph of sine or tan function of mathematics in my notes! Rather I was doing the same with my lips. I was asked to laugh and cry in sine and tan fashions, and it was only one of the several... Read→

What if deemed

A student management interactive session, held on May 23, ‘09 in Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, (Ghatkesar) was a welcome relief to the students, in the wake of the advent of Expert committee, University Grants Commission (UGC), who is likely to confer the Deemed University status to SNIST. Though the  purpose of the meet was to bring out impressions of students, on this notable occasion, it turned out to be an amiable discourse between students and the management on several issues and difficulties of students in the college... Read→
