After two months of the collective efforts from the staff and students of the Science club SPECTRUM, the day scheduled for Constellation-’09, the annual inter collegiate science festival in St.Francis College for Women had finally arrived. After the very successful intercollegiate science festival Constellation ‘08, the science club SPECTRUM in St.Francis College for Women is organizing Constellation ‘09 on 29th August, 2009. Unlike last year, where only 4-5 departments were involved, 12 departments are involved this year and around 150 engineering, degree and medical colleges have been invited to be a part of the festival and all this to ensure that Constellation ‘09 is a bigger, better and more promising sequel of Constellation ‘08

The various branches of life sciences have grown several manifolds in the past few years and with the advent of new technologies, pure science courses still have many takers. St.Francis College for Women, Begumpet provides variety of courses in Bachelor of Science, which includes both life sciences and mathematics courses.
